Telescopic floodlighting systems help satisfy planning restrictions. Planning restrictions for floodlighting sports arena are common in rural areas. The council does not want to have a physical impact on the surrounding area. Permanent lighting columns can be unsightly and allow the spread of urbanisation to encroach into nature.
By using telescopic floodlighting columns, the impact is lessened to a height of 2.9m and can be painted to suit the environment. The area around the columns can be planted to so there is little impact to the surrounding area during the day. When required the lighting system can be turned on and the floodlights will rise to a height of 8 - 15m .We only use asymmetric dark sky’s compliant floodlights. This critically controlled lighting restricts light spill to the surrounding area.
On every installation we supply a lighting plot to show the lux level and uniformity achieved to suit the sport played. This plot will also show the spill light on the surrounding area so the planning office can see the total impact to the environment.

The telescopic floodlighting system can carry up to three sports floodlights in either 1 kw or 2 kw versions. They can extend to heights of 8m -15m. The retracted height can be altered to suit the planning restrictions.
This lighting solution does not use any chains and pulleys that require a high degree of maintenance. Our system is pneumatic, this provides a quiet, long life solution with a low degree of maintenance.
